Evolve Beauty *a love affair* {review}

I came across Evolve by accident, while browsing online looking for a face serum. Now, I usually thought that people tend to either overcomplicate or oversimplify their skincare routines. You find the ones that use every product on the world with a cream for every moon phase, and the ones which use soap and nothing else. I love to believe I’m somewhere in the middle! Being minimalist also applies to self care and choosing products for yourself. For me, it means choosing quality over quantity.

Evolve is one of those brands where I can easily meet these needs. Their line is not too wide or too complicated. Both the design and the products are simple. But, most of all, I love that their ingredient list is so short, that they are entirely cruelty-free and a small british company of artisanal natural products. I’ve ordered the travel size just using a promotion code, because my skin was in need of something light but nourishing for summer. Therefore, I gave their serum a try and, with my purchse, I was sent 3 samples to try other products.

This was more than year ago and the company was just starting out. Since then, I’ve been using the Hyaluronic Serum, the Cleasing Melt bottle (now available in jar), the Daily Renew facial cream, the Lip Treat and the Tropical Blossom body butter (I have the travel size which is great to bring with you on the purse). I’ve also tried free samples (you get 3 with every purchase) of the body washes, the fresh face wash, the body oil, the body scrub, the micellar water, the radiant glow face mask (which truly deserves a post of its own) and the shampoo+conditioner.

Of all these products, the ones I wouldn’t repurchase would be the shampoo+conditioner, not because they are bad quality products, just because other products agree better with my hair. Still, they left the hair shiny and  with great perfume.

About the skincare range, it is indeed something special. All the products are extremely effective, long-lasting, organic and natural. My Daily face Cream tub is not even halfway through and I’ve been using it everyday for the last 5 months! Also, the scents are not artificial or overpowering (the most intense one is the body butter which smells like summer) and the textures blend beautifully on the skin. The Daily Renew face cream is very comfortable during winter although for my skin it is a bit heavy for summer. It is not greasy at all and it’s very very hydrating.

I really do believe that the producs are affordable for their quality and size and my skin looks healthy and hydrated, without any reaction whatsoever to any of the ingredients (which is a must for my sensitive skin). Plus, the packages, jars and tubes are all environmentally friendly, with tinted glass (to preserve the quality of the ingredients) and recyclabe plastic lids.

In the end, I can honestly say that I am in love with this brand, their products and their service. I keep recommending them to all my friends (and now here) and I am happy that I have so many good things to say about this small company and the lovely people who handmade all these products. EvolveBeauty – I love you!

P.S. Sorry for the blurry effect, but the labels tend to stay like this with use 🙂
